After the rains cleared, then came Thursday Night. Lake Wylie is like the lake of old, a lot of color and the fishing is awesome. If you like fishing shallow then now is the time to tie on a spinnerbait and start casting. Don’t be intimidated by the muddy water because the fish are certainly not.
We had a good turn out last night with 46 boats. Congratulations to Mark Leech and his son Zach with an impressive bag of five fish that weighted in at 20.14 lbs. Their kicker fish was a nice 5.42 pounders but this was not the biggest fish of the night . The team of Scott Bolin and Brent Bolin had a 5.70 pounder to take the Big Fish money. Second place went to Hunter Hicks and Bobby Rice with a 15.97 pound bag of large mouths.
