Last weekend's featured Carolinas Bass Challenge tournament on Santee Cooper was won by Wade Grooms fishing alone with a big 28.06 pound sack including  an 8.14 pound big fish.  He won $10k and didn't have to share it with anyone! Reader J Andrews also didn't have to share his $80 AHQ gift certificate for the closest guess with anyone, and with a 28 pound even guess he was just an ounce away.  Incidentally his 8.28 pound guess on big fish was also really close!  

You can see the full line-up of tournaments for this weekend on the South Carolina fishing tournament calendar, but we are choosing to focus on the first Lake Monticello CATT of the new season.  You never know what will come out of Lake Monticello, home to some of the biggest bass in South Carolina.  Closest guess to the winning weight in the comments here wins a $40.00 gift certificate to Angler's Headquarters (tie breaker, tournament big fish).  Please use hundredths of a pound instead of ounces.  Bonus: guess the winning bag and the tournament big fish weight and win a $500.00 gift certificate to the store.  Deadline is 7:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20.
