Trout: Slow to fair. Guide Sam Jones (864-280-9056) reports that trout fishing is slightly improved from a few weeks ago, but water temperatures need to cool for it to really pick up. Fish are still being caught trolling both spoons and live bait in deep water, and bass and catfish are still being picked up as a by-catch.
Bass: Slow to fair: Guide Rob McComas (828-674-5041) reports that bass fishing has been off this fall, perhaps because water temperatures have been unseasonably warm. Topwater lures, flukes and shakey head worms are the best baits to fish right now.
