Joe Anders and Greg Glouse take 1st and 3rd place in back-to-back Palmetto Boat Center weekend tournaments

  • by Jay

Somewhere in America there might be a pair of bass fishermen who had a better weekend than Joe Anders and Greg Glouse, but it's hard to imagine it.  In the September 12 Palmetto Boat Center tournament on Clarks Hill our regular Lake Jocassee correspondent Joe and his tournament partner took first place with 18.33 pounds (and the guaranteed 10k, plus almost that amount in bonuses), and they followed it up with another very profitable 18.08 for third place on Sunday.

It was a day when the large field of very strong tournament anglers and local experts alike struggled and most of the field didn't break 10 pounds - only eight teams exceeded 15.  The spring it was not.  Second place on Saturday went to Dwayne Lee and Michael Faulkner with 17.48 pounds, and third place went to Robert F. Hipps, Jr. and Rodney Chastain with 16.34. (Full Saturday standings here.)

On Sunday Kameron Harbin and Danny Ashley busted out with the only 20+ pound bag of the weekend at 20.07, and second place went to Dave Rosenberg and John Norris with 18.39.  Only one other bag passed the 15 pound mark on Sunday.  (Full Sunday standings here.)
