Charleston (SC) Fall Fishing Report – Updated November 2

  • by Jay

Inshore: Captain Rob Bennett of Lowcountry Inshore Charters (843-367-3777) reports that this is the absolute peak time for catching trout and redfish in the Charleston area.  Redfish can be caught pretty much anywhere from the creeks to the beaches on live shrimp (as well as a variety of other baits), and trout are also eating live shrimp fished alongside the marsh grass.

Folly Beach Pier (843-762-9516) reports that bite mostly consists of red drum well over the slot, but there have also been some black drum caught by regulars.  Trout are not being caught.
